Eastborough Police Department Alert

Recently it has come to our attention, while working with our partners at the Wichita Police Department, there has been an increase of reported property crimes in the surrounding area. Reports indicate that unknown individuals burglarized vehicles and non-residential structures (sheds and garages) in the areas of Rockwood Addition (North and East of Eastborough) and in the Brookside Addition (North and West of Eastborough).

We are advising our residents to remain vigilant and report ANY suspicious activity to 911 immediately. Please refrain from calling suspicious character activity reports to City Hall. We need to be able to track activity patterns through our 911 dispatch protocols.

No other information is available for release at this time. In the meantime please take extra care to secure you valuables. If we develop additional information we will update you as soon as possible.

  • Do not store items of value in your car.
  • Lock and secure your vehicles at all times when not in use.
  • Keep your garage doors closed.
  • If you are expecting packages, research alternate delivery options or have the item delivered to city hall if you are not home to receive it.
  • Report any and all suspicious activity to 911!
  • Follow the Eastborough Police Department on our Facebook social media page for real-time updates on police activity in the area.
  • Sincerely,
    Sgt. Kevin Dorritie
